Frequently asked questions
What's the turnaround time?
Standard turnaround varies by tier — visualisers and Hook Videos typically turn around faster than Story-Based or Premium Cinematic pieces, which involve more scenes and revisions. Your quote will include a specific delivery date once the storyboard is signed off. Clip packages are scheduled monthly once the 3-month minimum is agreed.
How many revisions do I get?
Performance Visualiser and Hook Video include one revision. Story-Based and Premium Cinematic include two revisions. Clip packages include one revision per clip. Additional revisions beyond what's included are billed at £30–75 depending on scope.
How do deposits work?
Music videos and custom-quoted work are booked with a 50% deposit invoiced on agreement, with the balance invoiced on delivery. Monthly clip packages are paid upfront each month, not on delivery.
What happens if I go quiet mid-project?
We'll follow up and hold your slot for a reasonable period, but ongoing work pauses if we're waiting on feedback, assets or sign-off from you. If a project goes unresponsive for an extended period, the deposit is retained to cover the work already completed and the reserved production slot, and the project is closed. Get in touch any time to pick it back up.
What file formats do you deliver?
Standard delivery is H.264 MP4 at the resolution and aspect ratio agreed for the job — typically 1080p landscape for music videos, and vertical and square formats for social clips so you can post to TikTok, Reels and Shorts from one deliverable. Other formats (ProRes, specific codecs for a broadcaster or platform) can be arranged on request.
What if I need it faster?
Rush delivery is available on Story-Based and Premium Cinematic music videos, and on clip packages, for an additional 25–50% depending on how much the timeline is compressed. Hook Video is standard turnaround only — there's no rush option on that tier, as the scope is already capped to keep it fast and affordable.
Do you sell music videos and clips separately?
Yes — clips packages and single clips can be bought independently of a music video. But every music video quote can include a clips package for the release rollout, cut from the finished animation, so you've got promo content ready the moment the video goes live.
Terms of Service
Deposits & payment
Custom-quoted work (music videos, one-off add-ons) requires a 50% deposit before work begins, invoiced via Stripe. The balance is invoiced on delivery. Monthly clip packages are paid upfront at the start of each billing period, with a 3-month minimum commitment before switching to rolling monthly. Unused clips in a monthly package do not roll over to the following month.
Revisions
Performance Visualiser and Hook Video include one revision; Story-Based and Premium Cinematic include two; clip packages include one revision per clip. Additional revisions are billed at £30–75 depending on complexity, agreed before work begins.
Deadlines & rush work
Delivery dates are agreed once a storyboard (for music videos) or brief (for clips) is signed off. Rush delivery, where available, carries a fee of 25–50% on top of the standard price, reflecting compressed scheduling.
Rights & usage
The client owns the finished animation delivered to them. Clout & Context retains the right to use the work for promotion and portfolio purposes — including the showreel, website, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and pitches to prospective clients. Where a client has a specific reason to delay this (an unreleased track, a label embargo), a hold period can be agreed so the work is shown only after the release date, rather than the right being waived entirely.
Cancellations & unresponsive projects
If a client becomes unresponsive for an extended period after work has started, the deposit is retained to cover work completed and the production slot reserved. Monthly clip packages can be cancelled after the 3-month minimum with notice ahead of the next billing date.
